Design methods have changed a lot over the Nine years we've been creating web sites. The problem is most design companies are still, to this day, using the same techniques they were using years ago. Why is this a problem?

First off it creates hundreds and hundreds of extra lines of code (html) behind each page. This makes the pages load much slower and in worse case scenarios the page won't display anything until EVERYTHING has loaded.

We use xhtml and css to design our websites. What this means is our sites are lightning fast to load, easy for search engines to crawl and the text will load instantly while the client's browser loads the graphics.
